Please find enclosed some information for the Touch Football Australia 2013 X-Blades National Youth Championships (NYC).

As notified prior to the 2012 NYC, we had been advised of various issues with the proposed dates. The proposed dates for the next three years are as follows:

2013 NYC – Wednesday, 11 to Saturday, 14 September 2013

2014 NYC – Wednesday, 17 to Saturday, 20 September 2014

2015 NYC – Wednesday, 16 to Saturday, 19 September 2015

The event has normally also been in the second last week for New South Wales Schools but was the last week for 2012 and will line up with the Queensland School term for the next three years.

There has been feedback that the event now clashes with some school events.

We surveyed date preferences after the 2012 NYC and the responses where split about having the dates as proposed or bringing them forward a week. We have subsequently undertaken broader stakeholder feedback on the proposed dates.

We understand that the change of dates will not suit everyone and may impact the strength of some teams participating. The determination above has been made after detailed assessment of all factors.
